Job Group H salary scale in Kenya 2015

Over the years the government has been the best and the largest employer in Kenya. BasiC Salary

The minimum basic salary for job group H is Ksh. 19,323 per month. The maximum basic salary in this job group is Ksh. 24,662 per month

Remarks on basic salary

Considering the basic salary alone, a diploma holder who has been employed by the government will earn a minimum of Kshs. 231,876 and a maximum of Kshs. 295,944. In both cases, the civil servant will make almost or in excess of half a million Kenya shillings.

Hardship allowance

The hardship allowance for job group H is five thousand Kenya shillings. (Ksh.5,000).

NB: Remember that this is an hardship allowance so you will not earn it if you are stationed in area that has not been designated as an hardship area.

House Allowance

The house allowance for job group H has been increased. The increase in house allowance varies depending on the area that a civil servant is stationed in. Under the new rates, the highest house allowance for job group H is paid in Nairobi at Ksh. 10,000

Total Salary

The total salary will vary from one servant to the other in this job group. However, if we take the case of a civil servant who is in Nairobi and earning the minimum basic salary of Ksh. 19,323, then the salary scale will take this form;

Basic Salary:           =        Kshs. 19,323

House allowance:    =         Kshs. 10,000

Minimum Total      =        Kshs. 29,323

In ten (10) months, a civil servant in job group H will have earned a minimum of Ksh. 293,230 (Well above half a million Kenya Shillings).
